Jack's Skates (unfinished)Jack sat in a shadowed corner of his room. His knees where pulled up to his shuddering chest and were hugged by his thin arms. His face was nestled in the crook of his right arm and tears were streaming from his dark amber eyes. Snow slammed itself against the small house, burying it in a deadly blanket. A tiny black spider crept around from behind a small pair of deer antlers and it scuttled along the floor towards Jack’s bare foot. Jack unfolded his arms and reached down to pick up the spider when a knock at the door stopped him.
“Jack?” The voice was that of his mothers, “Honey, can I come in?”
Jack scrambled to his feet, forgetting about the spider, and wiped his eyes on his beige sleeve.
“Err…yeah, yeah sure.” Jack sniffed, his voice catching annoyingly in his throat.
The door edged open, letting in a stream of orange candle light which was broken by the long black shadow of his mother.
She wore an ankle length beige dress and

Portal Fanfic...The middle aged woman shuffled down a long, white, sterilized corridor. Her dainty hands were clamped in large shackles and were crossed behind her back. Her long hair draped over her pale shoulders and ended in small curls. On either side of the woman strode two stout, bald men. Their jaws jutted forward somewhat as did their brows and their eyes were tiny and shrunken into their heads. They both wore matching suits that were tailored so carelessly that it made the men look like two black boxes. The only way she could tell the two men apart was by the colours of their ties, one red the other blue.
Suddenly the ‘Neanderthals’ stopped and clamped their fat hands around the woman’s thin forearms. Their grip was so intense that the woman swore her bones would break under the pressure.
“I can stand by myself morons!” The woman growled shoving the men aside. They looked at each other blankly then the man with the red tie cuffed her across the head m
